The New Royal Mail Postage rates from August 21st 2006

Royal Mail introduced Pricing in Proportion in August 2006

PiP and postage prices are now calculated by a combination of size, weight and bulk

Mail falls into one of three catergories; letter, large letter and packet

Find out more on how this will work and effect you from the information below;

Width: 165mm max

Thickness: 5mm max

Weight: 100g max

For example: most letters, bills and statements, some brochures and catalogues

Width: 250mm max

Thickness: 25mm max

Weight: 750g max

For example: A4 envelopes, most brochures, catalogues and company reports, some magazines.

For example: VHS cassettes, books, parts and samples, prints and posters in cylindrical packaging.

We shall be introducing some new mail bags that will take this into consideration but do already stock bags which will fit in with the catergories.  In our stock lists for mailing bags we will be indicating the minimum PiP catergory each product will fall into, by means of labelling then with a letter; L, LL, and P
