The New Royal Mail Postage rates from August 21st 2006

Are you aware that as from the 21st August 2006, Royal Mail introduced, PiP and postage prices are now calculated by a combination of size, weight and bulk. Mail falls into one of three catergories; letter, large letter and packet. Find out more on how this will work and effect you from the information below;

Length: 240mm max

Width: 165mm max

Thickness: 5mm max

Weight: 100g max

For example: most letters, bills and statements, some brochures and catalogues

Length: 353mm max

Width: 250mm max

Thickness: 25mm max

Weight: 750g max

For example: A4 envelopes, most brochures, catalogues and company reports, some magazines.

Length:over 353mm OR

Width:over 250mm OR

Thickness:over 25mm OR

Weight:over 750g

For example: VHS cassettes, books, parts and samples, prints and posters in cylindrical packaging.

We shall be introducing some new mail bags that will take this into consideration but do already stock bags which will fit in with the catergories.
